fantastic central spot for exploring beautiful parks and landmarks
I had an incredible stay where the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home, especially with the delicious tartiflette paired with local Sussex sparkling wine that I couldn’t get enough of. plus, being just a short walk away from the charming Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft and Adastra Park made my city strolls so easy and enjoyable.

Despite the overall pleasantness, the bedroom was pretty uncomfortable due to heat, even with the radiator off and the fan on full blast. Limited window opening for safety didn’t help air the room out, and the poor soundproofing made it tough to find sleep before bar closing time. the lack of surface area in the bathroom left personal items cluttering the floor instead of a proper vanity space.

Perfect for Families with Character
We booked a small double room, and I tell you, the Roberts radio playing when we entered was a touch I didn't expect. Plus, breakfast in the bar was stunning, beautifully laid out, can you imagine? A roaring fire just sets the mood, perfect for a cozy family time.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for what we got, it was acceptable.

Had a great time with friends! The location was perfect for a birthday celebration, and the atmosphere was lively. We enjoyed exploring the South Downs Way and trying out the local dining options. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay comfortable.
One night we had dinner, and the service was a bit off. My friend’s burger was dry and they were out of ketchup given the price.

Just a good match for a quick stop in Ditchling with fantastic value for money. The friendly waitress made our dinner experience enjoyable despite the average meal quality. Try to visit on a quieter night to avoid noise issues.

Our family enjoyed a lovely stay, especially with the cozy atmosphere around the roaring fire while having breakfast. The room was charming, and the drinks selection was splendid. We truly appreciated the friendly service from the staff, making our get-together memorable.
My wife says that the parking situation was quite frustrating for families.

A delightful stay with amazing dining
I had a wonderful stay here, especially enjoyed the beautiful decor of my deluxe double room which felt cozy and inviting. The dining experience was a highlight, with the breakfast featuring freshly baked bread and a substantial Full English that kicked off my day perfectly. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. One thing that could improve is the late-night bar music which was a bit disruptive to sleep.

Had an awesome group trip here! We explored the South Downs Way and enjoyed dining at the on-site restaurant. The set up for gatherings is perfect for a birthday party or an intimate supper. The staff was warm and friendly, and our room was designed well. Just a heads up for others – parking can be a bit tricky, so plan accordingly!
Unfortunately, my experience with breakfast was disappointing. I found the charges for each piece of toast and drink to be excessive, and the service felt a bit unorganized. It put a damper on an otherwise solid stay.

Perfect for families looking for charm
Let me tell ya, the moment we walked in the room, there was a Roberts radio playing. It felt like home, unique and cozy with a mini bar stocked with goodies. Breakfast was laid out beautifully with a roaring fire setting the right mood, such a perfect start to the day!
Sure, it wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but given the experience I had, I’m willing to overlook that.

The room was cozy and had this fantastic tray of snacks that caught our eye right away. We enjoyed lounging in the lovely garden with a good book and some fresh coffee each morning, it was such a treat. Just a heads up, it would have been clearer if there were prices listed for the snacks, but overall we had an awesome stay! 😊
